SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) is a type of hard disk interface, mainly used to connect the host system board with various storage devices (such as hard drives, optical drives, etc.). Compared with the traditional parallel ATA (PATA) interface, SATA has higher data transmission speed, stronger error correction capability and lower power consumption.
