Its typical application is the SAS link between SAS HBA and SAS drive subsystems. The SFF-8644 complies with the latest SAS 3.0 specification and supports a 12Gb/s data transfer protocol. The corresponding internal product of the SFF-8644 HD MiniSAS is the SFF-8643, which is also compatible with SAS 3.0 and supports a 12Gb/s SAS data transfer speed.
