Definition: M.2 is a physical interface standard used to connect devices such as solid-state drives (SSDs), Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, etc.
Former name: Initially known as NGFF (Next Generation Form Factor), later renamed M.2, but the two are essentially the same.
Size specification:
Format: Width × Length. For example, 2280 indicates a width of 22mm and a length of 80mm. Common sizes include 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280.
Channel support:
The M.2 interface is compatible with either SATA or PCIe bus, depending on the design of the motherboard.
